A Rainy Summer Morning in the Garden

It has been pretty rainy here the last couple of days, which the garden {weeds included!} has been loving. And since the rain has saved from having to water the garden I figure I would use this extra few minutes to post some garden update pictures.

Above is a couple of shots of the new patch that we dug up, which ended up being a little bit bigger than already established veggie patch. So far we have corn, pole beans, squash, pumpkins, sunflowers, beets, and chard planted in there. We will also be adding bush beans, tomatoes, dill, and cilantro. If we have enough room we might add some other herbs and veggies.

We have been harvesting lots of greens, radishes, carrots, beets, and herbs from our other patch. We have allowed some of our spinach and radishes go to seed and will be hopefully collecting those soon.

The Yellow Pear tomatoes have really grown and have plenty of more blossoms on them. No fruit showing yet though.

Our peas our growing nice and tall and the Laxton's Progress is flowering.

The garden sage is also flowering.

And all of our chamomile too! It is time for me to harvest it and I will definitely be making more of the oil that I did last year.

Sláinte!

Laurel

Fine fine! What with all the sun and rain, it flourishes. (And so do weeds) >:/
