Settled & Happy Earth Day!

So, we are pretty much settled into our new place, enough so for me to start focusing on getting ready for Bealtaine. I intend on doing a house blessing and a garden blessing ritual that day, and a list of other workings.

On the topic of Witchy things, I have been catching up on episodes of New World Witchery Podcast while puttering round ye olde homestead. If you have Pagan and/or Witchy leanings, you should definitely check them out! I especially enjoyed their episodes on weather magic and lore, hoodoo, and witch bottles.

We finally got the rest of the sod paths pulled up from around last year's garden. Wow, what a difference it makes {pictures to come shortly!}. I knew that the ground was pretty unleveled, but I had no idea how bad it was. The better half has a keen eye for such things, so he worked his magic on it and remedied that problem. My hero. *hearts*

I ended up transplanting the lady's mantle, and harvesting a whole bunch of dandelion greens and flowers, plus a few roots. A sad discovery I made was one of the lilac bushes is dead...I am not sure how old it is, but I would think that it is pretty old.

The good news is that we have 6 or 7 more, and I get some pretty wood out of the deal. I am not sure what we are going to do replace it with yet. Perhaps a rowan or raspberry bushes???

And finally, I hope that you all have a splendid Earth Day! Get outside and enjoy some natural beauty. ;)

Sláinte!

Same to you Cammie! :)

Thanks Bek. :) The peekture is of a little corner in my kitchen. We have no window in it, so it gives me something pretty to look at whilst doing dishes. ;)

You are lucky to have so many lilacs! I have one small one that we planted two years back. What colors are yours?

I know we have white-ish and purple ones, and I think there might be some light pink ones too. They're all over in my city, and there are some really neat colours. :)
